Description of Prevention Services:
Education in high schools, Speakers Bureau, Support of D.A.R.E. and STARS programs, distribution of high risk behaviors warning materials at schools, participation in Drivers Education classes, PSAS, AARP/YMCA refresher driver education, Victim Impact Panels, Red Ribbon campaign, Prom Promise activities in high schools and participation in Sobriety Checkpoint activities. Victim Support Group, Chapter meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at Hillsboro Presbyterian Church.
Mission/Remarks:
Public information, civic speaker bureau, citizen review of law enforcement preformance, distribution of literature, participation in public forums, volunteer citizen empowerment training, participate in Sober Ride and Sobriety Checkpoints. Sponsorship of performance awards in law enforcement, volunteer activism, alcohol free prom activities and poster/essay contests.
