CTC Training
On
December 2, 2003, the first official training of the Communities That CareŽ curriculum was presented in the
fellowship hall at the Waverly Nazarene Church. With 36 members of the community in attendance, and the session led
by David Shavel, trainer with Channing Bete, a new era began in Humphreys
County.
The
participants were shown an overview of how risk and protective factors are used
to develop initiatives and gauge the effects of those programs implemented in
communities. The training led to the
development of six Action Teams who will be working on specific target areas
that were defined during the training.
This Community Board is open to anyone desiring to improve the
lifestyles of the residents of Humphreys County.
